RESEARCH

I am a budding researcher, currently training as a PhD student and a Junior Research Fellow in Neuroimaging, under Dr John P John. I am associated with the project, “The India ENIGMA Initiative for Global Aging and Mental Health,” which is a collaborative initiative between NIMHANS, India and USC, USA, and funded by the National Institute of Aging, NIH, USA. The research undertaken explores the brain age gap (the difference between the individual brain’s chronological age and biological age) through multimodal magnetic resonance imaging, taking into account the psychosocial, blood-based biomarkers, and genetic correlates of mild Alzheimer’s Disease. It hopes to employ machine learning and deep learning techniques to capture how the various factors affect the brain age gap.
